DIGITAL DEVICES POLICY & AGREEMENT

CAMP COMPASS IS AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE FREE ZONE

Camp Compass campers are not allowed to bring electronic devices to camp. This includes cell phones, tablets, handheld video games, laptops, and drones.

A device free week allows students to fully experience camp, make new friends, and most importantly grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. Camp Compass digital device free zone policy also leads to less drama and gossip that can come through social media, making the camp experience more enjoyable and memorable.

If a camper is found to be in possession of a digital device, camp staff will retain the device for the remainder of the camp session. The electronic devices will be returned at the close of the session. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the camper being sent home.

EMERGENCY CONTACT PROCEDURE

In case of an emergency while at camp, campers can inform any counsellor or staff member that they need to contact their parents/guardian. They will be directed to the camp administrator who has access to a cell-phone designated to the admin team which will be used to call the registered contact phone number(s) of the camper’s parents or legal guardians.

In the event of an external emergency, parents may phone (number provided at time of camp) to contact the camp administrative team. The admin team will work with the counsellors and staff to locate the student and get them in contact with the parent.

Please carefully read and accept the below statements:

I have read and fully understand the above terms and agree to abide by them.
